Your Smile - Your Way

Nobody knows your smile as well as you do. Those slight imperfections—the tiny chips, stains, gaps, misalignments, or misshapen teeth—might be subtle, but they can still leave you self-conscious. It’s easy to believe that fixing all these small problems would mean several procedures.

A smile makeover is a bespoke treatment tailored to address all your cosmetic concerns. We combine several of our most popular treatments and procedures to form a tailored plan that works for you.

Our smile makeovers go beyond aesthetics. We balance smile perfection with improved oral health, leaving you with results you’ll love showing off for years to come.

Redesigning your smile

Everything we do starts with you. We’ll begin the smile design process with a full consultation. Here, we’ll discuss your concerns and assess your smile.

Once we understand what you’re looking for from your smile makeover, we’ll find the solutions to achieve your goals. We may draw on any of our popular treatments, like teeth whitening, clear aligners, veneers, bonding, and dental implants.

Because different elements of your plan have different time scales, we’ll design your treatment so it delivers results efficiently.

Using the latest digital technology, we can show you your future smile before treatment starts. We’ll discuss your tailored plan, treatment methods, timescales, costs, and financing options.

The science

Reimagining your smile

Once you’ve agreed to your treatment plan, we can start. The exact process we follow is dictated by the treatments used. We’ll start any lengthy treatments, like clear aligner therapy, early.

If you need a procedure like veneer placement, we’ll ensure you feel completely comfortable throughout.

I came in for a hygiene clean + airflow. The dentist talked through the process to make me feel at ease. It was pain free compared to other hygiene visits I've had elsewhere. A friendly and welcoming practice with no waiting time. Thank you

I am in the process of having my second implant here as well as composite bonding. I've just got to have the crown fitted in a few weeks time. Donatela and Michael are very friendly and Michael explains everything for you so you know what is happening and when it will happen. Despite warnings of possible swelling after the implant I have found the whole process easy and painless and would recommend Bella Dental to anyone thinking of having an implant.

Smile makeover questions.

Everything patients usually ask before starting their treatment. Can't see your question? We're happy to talk it through.

What exactly is a smile makeover at Bella Dental?

A smile makeover is a bespoke combination of treatments designed around your individual goals and facial features. As a specialist prosthodontist, Michael has advanced training in complex smile reconstructions and cosmetic dentistry. During your consultation, we’ll discuss what you’d like to achieve, and Michael will recommend the most appropriate combination of treatments, whether that’s veneers, composite bonding, whitening, orthodontics, or implants. Every smile makeover is different because every patient’s needs are unique.

How long does a smile makeover typically take?

It varies considerably depending on which treatments you require. A straightforward case involving composite bonding and whitening might be completed in just a few weeks. If you’re combining orthodontics with veneers or require implant work, we’re looking at several months. During your initial consultation, Michael will provide you with a realistic timeline based on your specific treatment plan and aesthetic goals.

Will my smile makeover look natural?

Absolutely. Creating natural-looking results is fundamental to everything we do at Bella Dental. Michael’s specialist training in prosthodontics means he has an in-depth understanding of facial aesthetics, tooth proportions, and how your smile relates to your overall appearance. We use the highest quality materials and techniques to ensure your new smile enhances your natural features rather than looking obviously “done.” You’ll be involved in every decision about shape, shade, and proportions.

Is a smile makeover worth the investment?

This is a deeply personal decision, and we understand it’s a significant investment. Many of our patients tell us it’s been life-changing, not just aesthetically, but in terms of confidence, career opportunities, and overall quality of life. As a specialist prosthodontist, Michael brings a level of expertise that ensures you’re receiving treatment to the highest clinical standards. We’ll discuss all your options, including any phased approaches if you’d prefer to spread treatments over time, and ensure you’re completely comfortable before proceeding.

Why should I see a specialist prosthodontist for my smile makeover?

Prosthodontics is the dental specialty focused on the restoration and replacement of teeth, as well as complex aesthetic cases. Michael’s specialist qualification means he’s completed years of additional postgraduate training beyond general dentistry, specifically in areas like full-mouth rehabilitation, complex veneers, implant prosthetics, and smile design. This advanced expertise is particularly valuable for smile makeovers, where multiple treatments need to work together harmoniously for optimal aesthetics and function.

Can you correct previous dental work that I’m unhappy with?

Yes, and this is actually a significant part of Michael’s work as a specialist prosthodontist. We regularly see patients who aren’t satisfied with cosmetic dentistry they’ve had done elsewhere, whether it’s poorly designed veneers, failing composite work, or implant restorations that don’t look right. Correcting another clinician’s work can be more challenging than starting afresh, but Michael’s specialist training means he has the skills and experience to achieve excellent results even in complex revision cases.

Will there be any discomfort during or after my smile makeover?

This depends on which treatments you’re having. Some procedures like composite bonding are entirely comfortable and require no anaesthetic. Others, such as veneer preparation, will require local anaesthetic during the appointment, and you may experience some temporary sensitivity afterwards. Michael will discuss what to expect with your specific treatment plan, and we’ll take every step to ensure your comfort throughout. Any post-treatment sensitivity is typically manageable and short-lived.

How do I maintain my new smile long-term?

Maintenance varies depending on your treatments, but excellent oral hygiene is essential. We’ll recommend regular hygienist appointments, typically every three to four months initially. It’s important to avoid habits that can damage dental work, such as using your teeth to open packages or chewing ice. If you grind your teeth at night, we’ll provide you with a protective splint. With proper care and regular reviews, your smile makeover should last for many years. We’ll give you comprehensive aftercare guidance specific to your treatments.

How much does a smile makeover cost?

Costs vary depending on the combination of treatments included. After your consultation, we provide a comprehensive treatment plan with transparent pricing and flexible payment options.

Can a smile makeover fix old dental work I am unhappy with?

Yes. Many of our smile makeover patients come to us wanting to replace old crowns, veneers, or fillings with modern materials and techniques for a significantly improved result.

What is digital smile design?

Digital smile design uses advanced software to create a preview of your new smile before any treatment begins. This helps you visualise and refine the outcome you want.

How long do smile makeover results last?

With proper care and regular dental visits, smile makeover results can last 10-20 years or more depending on the treatments involved. We provide aftercare guidance to maximise longevity.
